Flowers.

Now working at J.Crew I've seen flower accessories for almost two years now, and I must say I was beginning to find them a little drab. However, today I saw the Rochas Spring line, and their flower belts are lovely!

First National Bank

Last Sunday I wandered around downtown, as I often do, taking pictures of art deco motifs. I somehow stumbled inside a building that I never knew existed, and is only open to the public by appointment. The door happened to be unlocked, and I was too curious to resist. Inside I found one of the most amazing art deco buildings I have seen in person. The bank is absolutely beautiful, and it still contains all of the original details. It was completely empty and dark, but still lovely. Take a gander and some of the original pictures of the place.

Dress up?

At what point in time did we stop loving getting all dolled up? For me it was when I began pulling all nighters for college. I simply gave up, and gave in to comfort. Now days, I find myself trying to play dress up again. Here are some inspirations. It must also be noted that my renewed spunk surely has something to do with all of the old movies I have been watching.

The Connaught Hotel- London.

English chic with a twist, the Connaught Hotel in London is absolutely beautiful. One of London’s most prestigious hotels, the Connaught, in the heart of fashionable Mayfair, has recently benefited from a delicate restoration. Modern art and up-to-date technology mixed with faithfully restored period features, offer visitors ultimate comfort in a designer hotel in central London.

Cecconi's-West Hollywood.

Cecconi's is a classic Italian resturaunt with an old Hollywood flair. There are so many things to love about this space. It feels open, yet intimate. Classic, yet modern. It makes me want to dress up in some vintage dress and go for drinks. Lovely.

Trunks.

In the past few months I feel as if I have been seeing trunks everywhere. This nostalgic feeling that steamer trunks possess is undeniable. Lovely.

Hudson Furniture Inc.

I stumbled upon this amazing website, Hudson Furniture Inc. Hudson Furniture Inc. respects the natural forms of trees and inherent grain of wood with well defined organic lines and geometric forms using traditional joinery techniques and hand rubbed oil finishes. Not only do they have furniture but they also have lighting. The Atlantis Chandelier caught my eye, isn't it lovely? There is something so nostalgic about it, and yet the design is completely modern and fresh.
